SCADA

SCADA

SCADA allows local supervision and control of all operations related to the control, measurement and distribution of electrical energy carried out within the substations. It also guarantees remote access for remote control of the substation from the Central Load Dispatcher.

It makes it POSSIBLE to comprehensively monitor events, alarms, analysis, visualisation and control of the information acquired from the PLCs that govern each cubicle in both alternating and direct current.

RTU Measurement and Protections

RTU Measurement and Protections

The Remote URC is a tool for monitoring and storing data from network analysers and protection relays. This application is based on a system composed of a high-performance industrial computer, running under a Windows XP Embedded operating system.

This system is totally independent and unattended, and can be accessed via TCP-IP communication, switched telephone line or serial port. This allows it to operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, without requiring any maintenance by the user.

Gateway

Gateway

The Gateway or universal communications gateway developed by SICA S.A. allows the exchange of information between the field devices and the remote control.

The communications gateway converts the status information, alarms and measurements collected from the installation and packages all the information to be sent by IEC-104/101 protocol. In this way, the remote control receives the status changes and alarms in real time.

The SICA gateway has been tested in numerous installations, demonstrating excellent reliability and robustness. Optionally it can be enabled in redundant configuration, with two gateways operating simultaneously, thus providing hardware fault tolerance.

Drags System

Drags System

The feeder system is responsible for the management of the opening signal of an overspeed in a substation to allow the transmission and subsequent opening of the corresponding feeder overspeed in other collateral substations, which could supply the same traction sector, and all this in the shortest possible time.

The elements that make up this system are:

  • Traction equipment
  • Communication of the traction signal
  • Management of the traction signal
